1. What makes JCE products superior to other vendors?
 

Our commercial-grade grilling and smoke ventilation products are UL certified, custom manufactured, assembled and tested in our 12,000 sq ft facility in California. Our products are UL certified meaning that they are subjected to the most vigorous testing for performance, quality and durability. We have in-house mechanical and design engineering expertise to make sure that our products will provide the absolute best grilling and smoke-free dining experience in your unique restaurant.  

2. New York Fire Department Certificate of Approval  

JC Enterprises is the only company providing retractable telescopic hoods that have received the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Certificate of Approval (COA) which is issued by the City of New York certifying that the Hoodini 2 hood has been tested and approved as meeting the requirements of the New York City Construction Code, the New York City Fire Code and the New York City Fire Department Rules.

4. Are restaurant and duct design services included with all product sales?  

All of our customers want to ensure that all table-top grilling systems are configured to optimize the use of their restaurant space and provide the best smoke-free dining experience. As a result, most of our new customers typically choose to work with our team of mechanical engineers and design consultants to configure and install the best grilling and smoke ventilation systems for their unique restaurant environment.  

5. What kind of warranty does JC Enterprises provide?  

For 12 months from the date of original installation, JC Enterprises’ grilling and smoke ventilation products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Please see our product warranty as posted on our website for additional details.  

6. How long does it take to design and install a system for my restaurant?  

We work with your architects and engineers to incorporate our cooking systems in your overall restaurant design. Because we are a local manufacturer and not a reseller of third-party products, we are able to accelerate product design and manufacturing schedules to meet your timelines. Contact us at sales@jcenterprises to discuss your plans and needs. After agreeing on required products, production typically takes about 1-2 weeks. 

7. Do we offer repair/ maintenance services? 

Our customer satisfaction is most important.  We provide both online support videos as well as repair and maintenance services as needed.  Please contact us to discuss your required post-installation support services.  

8. Do you offer downdraft grills? 

Yes, we offer an all-in-one downdraft grill which provides for a smoke free environment and eliminates your need for a smoke ventilation system above your table.

9. Do you offer BBQ grills that can be used with propane tanks? 

While most of our customers use natural gas, we are able to adapt our grills for those restaurants wanting to use propane tanks as their source of gas.

10. Do you offer BBQ grills that can be used with charcoal? 

Yes, one of our grills does support the use of charcoal for those restaurants wanting to use charcoal to achieve that smokey flavor on their meats.

11. What are the gas input requirements for your BBQ grills? 

All of our grill require gas input of 12,500 BTU-hours.

12. Where can I see your smoke ventilation and BBQ grill systems in action? 

Please contact us to arrange for a visit to a customer who has purchased our products.

13. Can I get a sample of your products? 

While we do not provide samples of our products, you are welcome to visit our showroom or visit a customer restaurant who has installed our products.

14. Do you test your products before delivery? 

Yes, we rigorously test our spring balancers and valves for possible gas leaks. We further test our products after they are installed in the restaurant.

15. Do you install your products or do you contract with a third-party to do that? 

Typically, we provide factory installation in California and use authorized installation technicians throughout the rest of the USA and Canada.

16. How easy is it to clean your grills? 

Cleaning any of our gas grills is very easy. The primary focus should be on using 3/16 drill bit to clean the gas flow output orifice and a wire brush to clean the burner cap.

17. How easy is it to clean your smoke ventilation hood? 

Cleaning our smoke ventilation hoods is simple and involves simply removing a nut to remove the tube. In addition, we recommend regular clearing of the filter and oil tray.

18. How do I troubleshoot a problem if the smoke ventilation product is not properly sucking up smoke? 

First, check the exhaust fan on the rooftop to insure that it is operating properly. Secondly, make sure that the inside of filter box is clean to avoid grease buildup.

19. How do I troubleshoot a problem if the gas grill is not working properly? 

Check to make sure gas outflow is clear and not obstructed. Also, check to ensure that the gas connections are not leaking.

20. Do you send someone to my restaurant to troubleshoot and fix any problems with the grills or ventilation products?
